Q: How do I clean my custom blinds or shades?A: Keeping your new window treatments looking pristine is easy with regular, gentle care. Here is how to clean them based on your style:

  • Routine Dusting: Use a soft microfiber cloth, a feather duster, or the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner on a low setting. Always dust blinds horizontally (slat by slat) and shades from top to bottom.
  • Faux Wood & Vinyl Blinds: For tougher dirt or smudges, wipe the slats down with a damp cloth and mild dish soap mixed with warm water. Wipe dry afterward.
  • Fabric Shades & Roman Shades: Spot clean stains gently using a clean cloth moistened with lukewarm water and a drop of mild detergent. Avoid rubbing or saturating the fabric.
  • Real Wood Blinds: Dust with a dry cloth or use a high-quality wood polish. Avoid excess water or harsh chemical cleaners, which can warp or damage natural wood.

A: Our professional measuring is included as a specialized part of our full-service custom ordering process. Because of this, Sunnie's Blinds reserves the right to retain all window measurements unless a customer pays a separate measurement fee. If you decide to move forward with purchasing your custom blinds, shades, or shutters through us, your measurements and professional fitting are fully covered.

A:  Yes, you can choose to install your own order. However, because our window treatments are entirely custom-made, we still highly recommend letting our professional team handle both the precise measurements and the final installation.

Letting us do the heavy lifting guarantees a flawless, seamless fit, protects your product warranty, and ensures your new blinds or shades operate perfectly without any DIY hassle.

A: When it comes to your furry family members, safety and durability are the top priorities. We highly recommend:Cordless Shades: Eliminating hanging cords is the single most important step you can take to prevent accidental entanglement and protect your pets.
Faux Wood Blinds: These are incredibly durable, scratch-resistant, and easy to wipe clean if your pets look out the window.
Roller & Cellular Shades: Smooth, durable fabrics don't have slats for paws to get caught in, making them a sleek and highly pet-friendly choice.

A: Yes! We offer great options to help make your home greener and more energy-efficient. We can help you focus on a couple of different areas:

  • Energy Efficiency: Our custom cellular (honeycomb) shades act as an insulation layer for your windows. They trap air to keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, which helps lower your energy bills.
  • Natural Materials: We offer beautiful woven wood and bamboo shades made from rapidly renewable, completely natural organic materials.
